Reforming Curriculum & Instruction
A Generational Initiative

Debra Evans is a museum nerd. She is passionate about reforming curriculum and instruction.
From the Classroom to District Offices: Debra has served as a primary and intermediate teacher, Network MTSS Interventionist, reading specialist, network reading coach, reading clinic founder, national instructional coach and highly qualified reading consultant, equipping her with a deep understanding of how school districts work and how to foster systemic and sustainable change.

As Debra analyzes data, she centers historically poor performing student groups’ performance on essential learning targets, standards and expectations. She uses that data to develop inclusive, equitable and SMART continuous improvement plans that are responsive to their daily learning and instructional needs. She transforms historically poor performing students’ performance via strategic accessible questioning that increases in complexity, within and across Bloom’s Taxonomy and state standards, over the course of the school year.

Debra believes in the power of intentional questioning to transform student performance and teacher quality. She analyzes historical data and instructional practices to navigate the complexities of instructional inequities to transform student performance and teacher quality. She skillfully equips educators with the tools they need to make systemic and sustainable questioning change. Debra’s unwavering commitment to fostering an equitable learning environment ensures that every student, regardless of their background, has access to a 21st century college and career ready education.
