Essential Strategies Summarization

Use the Summarization organizer, with English and Spanish speakers, to summarize the actions and behaviors of every character, major or minor, within a fiction and/or non fiction text. Consider, initially applying the organizer to a simple text, like a short fable. Highlight each character’s contribution differently, like below, to make a modification and an accommodation for Tier 3 students. After this application, apply to increasingly complex text, with an intent to circle back the Tier 1 instruction.
